Part of a mixed 12 pack. No ingredients per the website. 31 IBU, 4.5% ABV.

Pours out to a very pale light amber, forming a nice off-white head with very good retention and solid lacing. Medium carbonation, ~2.5 carbs. The nose is immediately reticent of Fat Tire. Biscuit malt, but with an odd tartness like green kiwi to the nose. The mouthfeel is light bodied and slightly tart with a dry finish. Taste open with biscuit malt, followed by mild hop flavor (herbal), then a mild well-balanced hop bitterness. Grain husk in the aftertaste with strong tannins in the finish. Still getting that green kiwi.

Hrmm. Quite average. I think this is Fort Collins answer to it's neighbors best-seller, but there is a reason fat tire sells better than this and it's not just marketing or volume.

A: A strong glass filled effervesce shows a tawny orange coloring with a slight ghost hazing. A weak and washy head, butterscotch in color, is dismal and disappointing visually, short lived and provided no window dressing.

S: Autumn leaves for aroma, light orange, some moist grains really light in strength, really light in complexity.

T: Flavor was sweet at the start, buttery-orange, lightly toasted dry cereal grains, with some nobel flowery hops that was warming and fresh. A light yeatiness factor with a bit of a sour twang finish with some stale malt and wildflower hints.

M: starts crisp and has a pretty good malt depth per style, slippery texture with a bit of alkaline nature to it.Doesnt particularly hold well on the tongue or finish well.

O: Overall the flavor (malt and hop character) doesn't show me enough to make this a revist or worthy of a recommendation. Some sour flowery off taste and stale malt leaves much to be desired and not enought to keep you drinking after one.

From a 355 ml bottle into a nonic. Reviewed from notes dated November 7, 2013.

A-A short eggshell-colored head drops quickly to a patchy cap. The beer is golden in color with a light haze that clouds it somewhat. I see a few streams of carbonation in there.

S-The scent is pretty clean with lager-like milled grains and light to medium malt flavors. I also get some straw and a bit of toasted bread. Not bad, but a bit simple and not as inviting as some.

T-The taste tracks the smell closely with grains, toasted bread, some straw, and a pretty simple profile. I get a bit of soapy spice on the finish. Lighter in flavor.

M-The feel is on the crisp side with active carbonation and a medium to light body.

O-This is a pretty middle of the road beer. The smell and flavor are on the lighter side of things, which isn't surprising given the low ABV and the style in general. There are more intriguing session beers out there, but this one drinks pretty easy and doesn't offend.

Attractive light golden amber with a quite decent head in the snifter. Sprightly in the mouth. Faint beery aroma. More than adequate carbonation.

Tastes like a Pilsener at first sip. Just a touch of malt, though there are some roasted grain notes in the background. Interesting gummy, resiny tang. Hints of butter. Herbs in the back of the mouth. A mineral tang. Bitter finish adds a substantial note.

A very light brew. For a beer so close to the four percent mark, it provides a pleasant quaff. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Wilbur's Total Beverage in Fort Collins.
