Fruity, lemony, hoppy, clean and dry. Makes me want to session it, but at 7.5 ABV, probably not a good idea. Delicious!

Nice color. Hops really stand out but aren't over powering. Smooth with little kick/bite. A nice beer

I'm not sure there wasn't a problem with the glass it was served in, but there were some off flavors. Musty and soapy notes are present. It's not terrible, but not what I expected in an imperial IPA.

people hate on these guys for no reason sometimes, they arent all as forgettable as z lager you know, no need to hold a few lousy beers against them for life, i think they have evolved nicely, and the stuff in the bombers is always good. my only real critique of this is that its overly bitter, like the time the old brewmaster at wynkoop let me dabble with his hop extracts, and i put some on my finger and licked it. it burned my palate so bad, made me cough and wheeze for a minute, and turned me off to the beer i was drinking. this stopped well short of that mark, but thats a high mark, and this exhibited some of the same qualities. its hot to drink for that reason, but its not hop bitter at the expense of flavor, its fresh and vegetal and big on the palate without having a ton of caramel malt to weight it down. the idea of imperial pale ales has recently become extremely appealing to me, and while this is more of a double ipa than anything else, its the simplicity and lightness of the grain bill that makes it good. carbonation is there too, and the body seems light for how strong it is. its not perfect, but its not bad either. this definitely deserves some better marks on here. i also had mine super fresh, so maybe it doesnt hold up well, but i liked this one well enough, i could happily do a bomber, two if the bitterness got dialed back a few turns.
