On tap at Dogfish Head Brewings and Eats on in Rehoboth Beach, DE.

Pours a golden brown. Medium opaqueness. Small one half inch head, with minimal lacing.

Smelled like apples dipped in caramel, with some roasted peanuts as well.

Taste followed on point. Juicy apples, roasted peanuts, slight hazelnut, caramel, toffee, and slight vanilla. Awesome, awesome flavor here.

Medium bodied with decent carbonation.

Awesome little brewpub exclusive. Most apple beers I've tried have tasted simply like cider or apple juice, this retains a nice nut brown flavor with great apple additions.

First had: on tap at DFH, Rehoboth Beach, DE

Clearish, medium brown pour with a cap of white bubbles that receded to a wispy layer. Looks like an amber ale essentially. Aroma was right on the money: fresh apples dipped in lightly roasted peanut butter, with a solid caramel malt background. The taste wasn't quite as pronounced, a bit disappointing, mostly bready malts, herbal hops, subtle notes of apple, and some peanut flavors in the finish; came off sort of one-note, with the flavors never really reaching full potential. Not bad, but not quite as good as it sounded, or as the nose made it out to be. Easy mouthfeel, light-medium body. Still a decent brew overall.
