Definitely my least favorite DFH beer. Pours amber with a head that foams a bit and then quickly dissipates to almost nothing. Has some English ESB smell, but very faint. The taste is what really got me. Starts fine with a fairly classic dry pale ale taste with restrained hops and malt, but the finish has some off flavors like those from an uncleaned draft line. Perhaps my sample was a little skunked? If so, I don't know why. I bought it from one of the better local shops and the born on date is 3/17/06, and I'm drinking it on 7/6/06, so four months shouldn't ruin it. The mouthfeel is fine, but I sure couldn't see drinking many of these. A dissapointing effort, especially considering all of their other wonderful beers.
