12 fl. oz. bottle poured into pint glass.
A: Deep dark brown body, not quite opaque. Decent one finger head with great retention. Thick and sparkling lacing.
S: Geez, I can smell it from 2 feet away. Smells of what I assume to be chicory, very coffee-like heavily roasted and burnt malts. Sweet chocolate. No hops.
T: Again, deeply roasted and chocolate malts. Finishes surprisingly clean with no real lingering grainy bitterness. I think more could have been done with this.
M/D: Has a nice medium body, more like a porter. Carbonation is just a bit on the high side. Alcohol is subtle and makes for a highly drinkable beer.
