A: Looks good. Poured into a guinness pint glass. Dark color with some amber around the edges. Thick creamy head with plenty of lacing and retention. I love stouts with creamy head.
S: Not a very strong or overwhelming smell in my opinion. Definitely got the coffee, with some smoke and woodiness. I don't know what chicory is or what it smells like so . . . .???
T: More smoke and coffee. And of course the roasted malts. Decent flavor but not Big flavor.
M: Smooth. Medium body (seemed light for a stout). Strong carbonation can be felt in the mouth.
D: It goes down pretty easily. It's definitely a session beer.
Overall, not my favorite but it's pretty good. I don't know what chicory is so I couldn't say what it added to the brew. Worth a try.
