Poured from a bottle into a tulip.
A: Deep dark brownish black. Very thin chocolate head that does not leave any lacing down the sides.
S: Chocolate, roasted malts, and a hint of coffee dominate the nose.
T: Tastes of chocolate, roasted chicory and barley, and coffee. There is a nice touch of graininess from the malt. American 6 row?
M: Very interesting mouthfeel. Not what I was anticipating; it is much lighter bodied and higher carbonated than it leads you to believe when you first look at it. There is also quite a graininess that actually works pretty well.
O: A very drinkable stout. None of the flavors are overpowering, they all blend well together and comprise a nice light bodied tasteful treat.
