A- 4 Midas Touch is clear and yellow gold in color. It has a 1/2 finger eggshell head on the pour that dissipates slightly but leaves a thick ring where it contacts the glass. It turns creamier as it warms. There's active bubbly carbonation in the brew and also a very smooth, concentrated lacing. The lacing is especially attractive as it leaves thick walls of bubbles sliding down the glass throughout. I find that to make up for the color alone which is generally bland.

S- 4 Initially I'm hit with white grapes that remind me of wine, but then a spice and honey sweetness bring me back in. They combine for what reminds me of bubble gum just a bit. Nice pleasant aroma.

T- 4 The muscat grapes come through more strongly than I'd expected from its aroma, and it is slightly sour at first. I do pick up the honey again which definitely helps its balance. I don't get as much spice here, though, which really would've rounded it out for me. It tastes good regardless.

M- 4.5 Midas Touch feels fairly crisp at first sip but then turns creamy as it is goes down. Very nice feel overall. It's medium in body and has a carbonation right around average.

D- 4 A hair more of the grapes than I'd prefer has me thinking wine and not beer at moments, but there is just enough going on otherwise to keep me interested and generally enjoying this brew. It is certainly 'different' - like a lot of DFH brews - but I like it. At 9% ABV it can sneak up on you; I thought the alcohol was pretty well hidden. It is a little pricey... Nonetheless, I'll likely buy it again. It's something I could enjoy every once in awhile.

Smells of white grapes and malt with a small amount of saffron to follow. Tasting it the grape is the strongest with hints of honey and saffron. The malt does come through after a few sips. After a while I feel as I have been drinking white wine as well. The finish is crisp and has a aftertaste of grapes. I would buy again.

Served from an ice cold bottle into a glass.

Appearance: Golden yellow with lots of carbonation bubbles. I gave it an aggressive pour and got no head. Bad beer bad, just joking.

Smell: Fresh, with citrus notes.

Taste; Again fresh with a hops bite and slightly bitter, very crisp and refreshing.

Mouth feel: Not thick, very light and refreshing, serve cold. Has a bit from the carbonation.

Overall: I love Dog fish Head and this brew is from the ancient Ale series my first one and i am very excited to try them all. i would recommend this brew and Dog fish head brewery, and since they were just on a recent Brew Dogs episode I am sure they are going to gain a lot more popularity. well done my friends.

A: Light yellow-gold, no carbonation, only a ring of head. If I didn't know better I'd say it was a late-harvest white wine.

S: Honey, white grapes, a background of sweet barley. Far from a typical beer, but nice.

T: Grapes, honey, a little bit of a yeasty-chalky. It's good, decent finish.

M: Full bodied, a tad syrupy, but had a soft touch on the tongue still.

O: Unique, and a nice beer. Bonus points for the cool history which can't be quantified in the scores here. Lacking in a few areas, but I wouldn't mind another.
