Poured from a 40oz bottle into a tasting glass. It poured a hazy looking orange color with a thick, foamy, white head rising an inch above the beer.
The aroma has a lot of sweetness to it. I get corn, caramel, sugar and some grainy malts. I get some crisp fruitiness to it as well. Not a bad aroma, could use a little more balance to offset some of the sweetness but it's starting off better than I anticipated it would.
The taste shows more of the caramel flavors coming out and mixing with some of the crisp fruitiness. I get a little of the corn up front, while the finish is sugary sweet. Not bad overall.
The mouthfeel is leaning towards the heavier side and also pretty creamy. Carbonation is moderate. Overall it was a lot better than I anticipated, but also not great. It had some decent flavors to it through and was cool beer to try.
