A: Poured slowly into a stemmed tulip. Very little head, slightly off-white. Only the slightest amount of cloudiness. Dark golden amber in color. Outstanding! Oily lacing left on the side of the glass that slides right down into the beer leaving only a few traces where it started. A small carbonation geyser coming up from the bottom but not too strong. Just right, Head receded leaving a clear ring around the outside of the glass with the carbonation concentrated to the center. These are the tiniest carbonation bubbles I have seen ever. Its hard to even detect that there are individual bubbles on the surface. It looks like a cloud floating on the top of the ale. PERFECT!
S: Hops. Something else there but not sure what it is yet. Seems kind of like a musky piney earthy smell. Its nice but very unusual and hard for me to pinpoint. While the hops is up front, the smell is not aggressively strong. Its very nice and subtle. If I had a better olfactory set
T: Wow. Hops up front but not crushingly strong. Lots of complexity behind it. I am getting slightly sweet maltiness, pine, citrus and maybe caramel. At the very end is the ever so slight revelation of the ABV. It is very hidden. Extremely well blended and balanced.
M: Very smooth and creamy to start followed by the bite of the hops. Finally the bitterness is revealed and only in the back end can I slightly detect the warmth of the ABV. I would never guess that the ABV is 9 if I was blindfolded and not subject to the feeling of alcohol in my system.
O: This beer is a sleeper. Its fantastic. Its so complex and so well balanced that I keep asking myself what have I missed or what is missing here? I keep on finding more in the flavor. I want another one. This beer pulls all of it together into a cohesive mysterious lady. Be careful. She is very seductive and will lure you into her web of complexity. By the time you figure it all out, its going to be too late to escape. LOL.

Appearance: Poured from a bottle into a snifter. About a finger of white, foamy head. A copper color, not very transparent. A lot of little bubbles floating up to the top. Nice lacing around the glass.
Smell: Smells wonderful! Some nice citrus, hop, malt, not overpowering with the hops. I really love the smell of this.
Taste: Awesome! There's a little bit of sweetness to it. Tastes incredibly balanced between the malt and hops. Citrus, specifically orange.
Mouthfeel: Medium body with some carbonation, easy drinking imperial IPA.
Overall: My first IPA to review and immediately one of my new favorites!

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Bottled on 5/30/14. Tasted on 7/28/14
Appearance: Half-inch soapy head, nearly pure-white. The color is a transparent, golden-copper. Lacing initially holds a very nice level of retention, but fades fairly quickly. Still have some lace lingering towards the top of the glass after a long drink-down, though.
Smell: Sweet hop aroma followed by some caramel maltiness and hints of alcohol.
Taste: Hops hit you from the onset and stay with you until the end. It's a puckering bitterness. Alcohol warms your throat and nose towards the end. After taste is much more fruity than I would have expected.
Mouthfeel: Very smooth but thick with moderate to low carbonation. Dries the mouth.
Overall: A very solid Imperial IPA that I would recommend to any hop-head. Not particularly my favorite flavor profile for an Imperial IPA, however, I can still appreciated the quality. Would like to try on-tap, would buy a four-pack if I could share some with friends or family. I would give it 90-93 overall.
