Esquire Magazine calls our 90 Minute IPA "perhaps the best IPA in America." An imperial IPA best savored from a snifter, 90 Minute has a great malt backbone that stands up to the extreme hopping rate.

90 Minute IPA was the first beer we continuously hopped, allowing for a pungent -- but not crushing -- hop flavor.

how have I never reviewed the 90? this was an old standby for a number of years when I was back east, but I guess the Colorado market has got me distracted. picked up my first 4 pack in ages, and I just love it. almost forgot how good it is. pours a perfectly clear radiant copper color, lighter than that really, but not red enough to be amber, like medium maple syrup. the head is a few inches at first, but relaxes to just a quarter inch of white lace, although its easily fired back up with a shake of the glass. nose is sweeter resinous hops, bits of pine, and sticky dankness like fine bud. American light toasted malt as well, with a touch of alcohol for good measure. flavor is hop heavy, but again the sweeter rather than the bitter. I get some malt sweetness too, but most of it comes from the hops, oily as hell. just enough grain to balance it out. long finish, alcohol is barely present. I could stand a little more carbonation on this, but its not flat, its just personal preference for me. feels a touch heavy in that way, but its more so when its warmer. ice cold its epic, just doesn't drink too fast. fuller bodied, I think a 4 pack is the exactly correct dose on this. one of the pioneering big india pales, still up to snuff.

Copper body topped with a long lasting fluffy white head. Aroma: very floral, lots of malt & hops & some citrus.. Flavors: a perfect balance of hop bitterness & malt sweetness with some biscuit & a hint citrus. Feel: plenty of carbonation, crisp. It’s 9% is well hidden. Overall:one of the few iPAs is actually enjoy, excellent.

I've drank this brew many times and apparently never rated it. I found a fresh 19.2 oz can at the bottle shop and bought a few. Poured into my favorite tulip a deep amber tone, light fluffy head. Aroma is mild but quite present, mostly malty. First taste is so full and amazing. VERY balanced and full of a variety of notes. Savoring all of that . . .mmm and then the feel is medium to sticky with a yummy biscuit crisp finish. THIS is one of THE most balanced American IPAs ever produced.

Such a dependable beer. Really good for being available across the country. Hop forward but mellowed quickly with malt and yeast backing. ABV also mellowed with great pairing of hops and yeast. Smooth but demanding respect.

Poured slightly dark orange with a off white head from a 12 oz bottle. Hazy to clear with the foamy head disapating to lace. Aromas are strongly floral with sweet malt. The flavors are heavy hop with malty sweetness. Aftertaste is drying and spicy, with warming alcohol. Very good

It’s not the best in the world, but it’s darn good and lives up to its ranking.

It’s not the best IPA in America but it is very good. Nice malty backbone but I do get the 9% ABV. Would pick up again but it has a lot of competition.

Really good, but world class is a stretch. Looks great with a nice color, ok head, nice lacing. Unremarkable nose. The best feature is a taste that combines maltiness without sugariness with hoppiness without bitterness, all of which pleasantly lingers on the palate.
