12 oz bottle served into an English pub glass. It poured a nice carmel color that yielded a 1 1/2 finger creamy head that stayed around awhile. The head remained for awhile that left lacing behind.
The smell again for an IPA was kind very subdued. Lots of malty sweetness, which I was not expecting. The hops gave a citrusy smell.
The taste was very sweet. It kind of was like a mix between maple syrup and carmel syrup. The sweetness was nicely balanced out with the citrusy hops. Together they had a nice meld, however, not as hoppy as I thought it would be.
Mouthfeel for this beer was good. It was full bodied for sure, and was slightly thick. The hops yield a nice oiliness that coats the mouth.
Overall this is a well done beer. It is an imperial IPA that is quite strong (9.0% abv). So one and your already packing a buzz. I wonder if mixing this with a Stone Ruination would give a good result.
