My jaw nearly hit the ground when I learned that WWS 2003 is available here in Southern California. I was at Hi Time Cellars in Costa Mesa, actually looking for Yulesmith, when Mike McCullah, their main beer guy asked if I was interested in DFH WWS. I bought 6 bottles.
Now onto the review.
This pours black with a tan head that has symetrical, tiny bubbles. The brew sits thick and velvety on your tongue. The flavors of chocolate abound. This is not a particulary dry stout, like an irish or imperial, but it is a richer tasting brew. It is made for sipping and enjoying with some nice chocolate. Great brew. Spend the bucks and get some.
