Pours a nice amber with a thin head that leaves a nice lace.
I can't say I've smelt this before You can smell the grapes, honey and flowers. I hate to say it but my girl friend thought it smelt like skunked beer and I somewhat agree. It has a similar smell to a sunday afternoon of dumping really bad leftover beer from a college party down the drain. But it isn't a sicking smell its more robust and crisp. Maybe what I'm smelling is the hawthorn fruit which I have never seen or tasted before.
Amazingly smooth with the honey right upfront. A nice balanced light malt body dominates with the grapes strongly pulling up the rear. You can taste the sweetness of the grapes when you lick your lips after. I have never been a fan of fruit themed beers and I know this one isn't trying to be but every brewery trying to get fruit down should grab some ideas from this.
