I found this year's version of Aprihop to be a much better beer than previous year's versions. This current iteration featured much more assertive hop flavor that was bitter, floral and fruity that complemented the addition of apricots. This may seem like an unusual coupling, but many hop varieties, especially West Coast American cultivars like Centennial and Amarillo, have a lot of fruit character that some liken to mango, peach, and apricot. The bitterness of the hops keeps this beer from tasting too sweet and the body and fine carbonation makes for a nice drinking experience.
If you have had this before and wish that there was more hop flavor, give this another try. I know that it's later into the year for this seasonal, but I have seen these marked down in several locations, which makes it much more appealing to try.
