Aprihop is an American IPA brewed with Pilsner and Crystal malts. It's massively hopped -- in the continuous fashion, of course! -- and the flavor is complemented by the addition of apricots.
After fermentation, the beer is dry hopped with irresponsible amounts of Amarillo hops. The beer has a hoppy aroma, with the apricots playing a supporting role.
The flavor is rich with late hop flavors, and its bitterness is tempered by just the right amount of malt sweetness and fruity undertones from the apricots.
50 IBU

12oz Bottle served in a Chardonnay wine glass.
A- Pours clear amber in color, with a finger thick white creamy head. The head faded fairly quick, but a foamy ring remained around the edge for the duration.
S- The fruit is the star, of course apricot. I also get the hops and a bit of caramel malt that hints sweetness, though not in your face.
T- Tangy fruit immediately hits your palate, then after a few seconds a bit of sweet apricot and peach came around. As the beer warmed up it felt more and more like a white wine, almost like a Spanish Albariño!
M- Creamy, medium to light body at first, then a crisp finish with a taste bud grabbing tangy feel.
D- Very easy to drink, if you like this style. I can drink one maybe two, but this is not my cup of tea.
Aprihop is a nice offering by Dogfish Head but I prefer a 90 minute, or Squall IPA since I'm not into this style. Glad I tried it though.
Salud!

This stuff is horrible.

One of my favorite beers ever, the dark, almost caramel flavor of the apricot is a much better compliment to the IPA style that you might think. A perfectly balanced beer and a great pickup if you can find it.
