Poured into an imperial pint glass and the fluffy white head rose just over the top. The brew was a russett-orange color with sparse carbonation. Slight aromas of apricot (less than I expected) and restrained floral hoppiness. Mouthfeel was medium bodied and the carbonation appropriate. As with the aroma, the apricot flavor was less than I was expecting. I found it to be a wonderful counterbalance to the hops without overpowering the taste. As the name suggests, the apricot and hops share center stage.
Overall I was very impressed with this new brew. I was apprehensive to try it as I'm not really a fan of #9, but other reviews convinced me I should give it a shot. Glad I did, I believe this will be the perfect summer session brew.
