pint glass. 2012 batch.
a - pours a transparent amber color with only a thin cap of off white head. after calming i get a thin film and a few big bubbles. leggy lacing.
s - lemon, grass, tart fruitiness, slightly toasty.
t - biscuity malt with notes of lemon, apricot, and hay. has a bitter twang to it like an out of tune banjo, you don't notice it at first, but in the mix it becomes readily apparent. finishes lightly sweet.
m - medium body with medium carbonation. co2 profile feels prickly on the tongue. a little sticky.
o - this is one of those beers that make me say to myself "what the hell were they thinking?" not a bad beer, just odd. this was really an impulse buy as i've been wanting to try it for a while, but probably should have passed on this. i'm going to sit on the other three and see if they're any better by the time summer rolls around.
