Aprihop is an American IPA brewed with Pilsner and Crystal malts. It's massively hopped -- in the continuous fashion, of course! -- and the flavor is complemented by the addition of apricots.
After fermentation, the beer is dry hopped with irresponsible amounts of Amarillo hops. The beer has a hoppy aroma, with the apricots playing a supporting role.
The flavor is rich with late hop flavors, and its bitterness is tempered by just the right amount of malt sweetness and fruity undertones from the apricots.
50 IBU

Poured from a 12-oz. bottle into a pint glass.
A strong pour releases a 1.5-finger cream-colored head that slowly diminishes to a thin covering over a clear reddish-amber body. A decent stream of small bubbles quickly rush to the surface. Lacing on the glass is also quite nice.
Floral and fruity in the nose. Definite hop aroma but also a little citrus. A strong whiff definitely finds the tart apricot scent.
Hoppy flavor with a slight apricot twist (as expected). The two actually pair quite nicely as the apricot also helps to cut the typical bitterness. A somewhat dry finish with a slight hop bitterness at the end makes me keep reaching for the glass.
The body is rather thick for an IPA but not creamy. It washes over the tongue nicely but sticks to the mouth to remind you of what you have to look forward to with the next sip.
A little stronger apricot flavor would been preferred. All in all, not bad, but not as good as the hype led me to believe.

The hops drown out any apricot flavor
This stuff is horrible.

One of my favorite beers ever, the dark, almost caramel flavor of the apricot is a much better compliment to the IPA style that you might think. A perfectly balanced beer and a great pickup if you can find it.
