This is not my go-to style, so I'm not a reliable rater. That being said, I found it very refreshing...but extremely odd. Not bad odd, but the flavors aren't what I expect from a beer. I wouldn't recommend it, really...but I wouldn't steer you away. I still have three others in my fridge, and I'll finish them in time. Perhaps the taste will grow on me.

A very mellow blend of citrus with coriander. Refreshing but not crisp or carbonated. I fond that its taste is remarkably different when its chill has left. Its better flavors fade into a general bitterness.

Good beer. Hops and citrus just didn't punch me as I wished. The beer had a smooth sip unfortunately I had to drink it from a bottle so I missed on half my usual experience. I will give this another shot just wished for more.

12 oz. bottle, bottled on 3/2/16. Poured into a tulip glass.

Look: Pale straw colored, clear, healthy fluffy white head.

Smell: Classic witbier smells of orange and coriander.

Taste: Light, citrusy, and refreshing.

Feel: Medium minus body, medium plus carbonation.

Overall: A great summer beer! Reminds me a lot of Allagash White.

This beer had both the light citrus taste I look for during the summer months as well as a spicy aftertaste thanks to the coriander and peppercorns. I was a little skeptical of this combination at first but it really works! I was pleasantly surprised and would consider this taste test a success.

Golden pour with a soft white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is very warming - perfect on a cool evening. Spice fills the air above the body and sets up the taste profile extremely well. Lemon, pine, orange, coriander balanced by the slightly sweet malt and closes with a crisp and dry finish. Great beer; tons of aroma and taste in a small ABV package.

look: 4.5 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 4.5 | feel: 4 | overall: 4.25

The beer pours out into a Duvel glass a bright pale yellow color with a bit of chill haze and a 1 1/2" thick fluffy white head that slowly, but visibly, recedes to a nice layer of foam on the surface and leaves some nice, scattered large patches and legs of lacing on the sides. Sipping creates new, smaller patches and legs of lacing.

The aromas are almost like perfume with floral notes, a bit of malt, lemongrass and orange rind. In the background is a touch of coriander and white pepper.

The flavors include some light malt up front with an overlay from the lemongrass, the orange and the white pepper. There's also a background of some light bitterness, I think from the hops but it could also be a contribution of the pepper or a combination of both.

The mouthfeel is on the light side of medium bodied and slightly prickly from the gentle, persistent carbonation. The long finish begins about midway through as the flavors peak and then begin to fade. The sweetness seems to go first, followed by the spiciness, but the sweetness then re-emerges briefly to ride along with the peppery and lightly bittered, earthiness from the hops before all fade to gentle dryness.

This one was a bit of a surprise in that I both enjoyed it and almost immediately wanted to match it up in a side-by-side with the Allagash white. I expect I'll be having this one again and certainly think its a good choice for summer refreshment. As with most of the DFH beers I've tried there is a touch of uniqueness and difference about this beer and in this case it seems to work well.

Smooth smelling, mild tasting, solid sipper. Hazy lemon with a well formed ivory head. Sweet citrus with a bit of perfume. A bit of bubblegum. Doesn't burst with flavor, not an outrageous interpretation. Runs the risk of being called bland. Spot on though especially with the dynamic mouthfeel: subtly smooth with slightly dry finish.

Pours a hazy golden hue with a small sudsy head that vanishes almost immediately. Smell is wheat and yeast, with a touch of bubblegum. I thought that was a weird read, when I have seen other commenters mention it, but it is definitely present. Taste is quite mild, sweet and a little peppery. The orange and lemon are there, but not forward. Mouthfeel is light and very dry. Not my usual gig, but I bet fans of the style will adore it.

Had this poured into a pint glass at WoB. Appearance was a bit lighter/thinner than I expected..lighter yellow. The aroma and flavor were great, lemongrass and a bit of bready aftertaste...very refreshing on a hot day. Mouthfeel was light which I liked. Had avoided this one for a while for some reason, but was pleasantly surprised.

Appearance: Golden in color with a light haze on top is a thick frothy white head.

Aroma: Yeasty, coriander, peppercorn, faint pear and traces of cinnamon. Apple, wisps of nutmeg.

Taste: Rather smooth mouthfeel with a slight dryness. Pear, apple, coriander, yeasty, spice, some cinnamon in the tail end with a light dry finish.

Notes: A solid example of a Witbier with a spice twist and very drinkable. Cheers.

Bottled 12/10/2015 poured into a straight pint glass.

L- Medium straw yellow with some slight yeast haze, two finger white head.

S- Coriander, orange, bubblegum. A bit too coriander forward.

T- Same as aroma but the coriander is actually less and the bubblegum is more.

F- Light , good carb, refreshing.

O- A nice refreshing beer with pretty big flavor more like a hefe than some of the more watery witbiers I've had. Was worried the coriander would be overdone considering it's Dogfish Head but they are not.

The initial pour took quite awhile due to heavy carbonation. Straw yellow colored and with a very hazy complexion and a half inch of bright white frothy foam on top. strong aroma of coriander dominates the nose, but orange and lemongrass are also detectable. The taste is very balanced with pale wheat, coriander, and lemongrass. The mouth is highly carbonated, moderately spiced, and refreshing.

Picked this up at a local beverage specialty store. I had to buy the six pack instead of a single as I would normally do with a new beer I'm trying. Let me tell you I could't even finish one.

Pours copper brown and is nice in golden and smells earthy with hints of lemongrass. The beer itself for me was undrinkable. The front mid and back palate were all unpleasant after tasting . Very strange like old food that's been sitting in your fridge. Stay away!

This beer might have been better if they brewed it with fresh orange peels instead of candied dry oranges. I had high hopes for this beer as I really like Dogfish head and am a fan of their 90minute Ipa. I also really love the Einstiock White Ale which is brewed with similar ingredients. If you have the chance check that out instead!!

Poured a very cloudy yellow color. Less than a one finger white head that dissipated quickly. Aroma is of lemon and soap. Tastes of lemon and coriander. Crisp clean feel with a light body. Very disappointed with the brew from an otherwise good brewery.

Poured a clear golden body with a thin cap of bubbly white foam. Overall impression of appearance is not to form for a witbier, it's too clear and head formation is terrible, however given the bar it was served at I am more inclined to blame the bartender on this one. Scents of floral, spicy coriander, white pepper, yeasty bread and softly sweet malt, light grainy wheat and light citrus. Overall impression of aroma is of a witbier, true to style, light and bright. Flavoe begins light and malty sweet with medium-light phenolics of white pepper blending with notes of coriander and orange peel with some zesty citrus notes. Middle gains floral flavors and further notes of orange zest mingling with doughy malt. Finish is lightly sweet with notes of softly sweet malt, doughy malt and balanced by floral notes, white pepper and coriander and citrus peel. Aftertaste is grainy malt and white pepper. Overall impression of flavor is of a good witbier, light, with the typical flavors. Mouthfeel is light bodied with high carbonation and a lightly slick feel. Overall impression of mouthfeel is of a good witbier, nothing wrong. Overall this is a good witbier. It has the typical aromas and flavor. Mouthfeel is light and compliments flavor. It is an excellent witbier, but like all witbiers it is very simple and refreshing.

Look: Pours a nice straw color with a white head, very little lacing, head dissipates quickly.
Smell: Sweet coriander and lemon, a little yeast.
Taste: Spices are light, pepper is in the background, some wheat and yeast flavor, sweet and a little tart.
Feel: Light body and light tingly carbonation.
Overall: Not bad, was expecting a little bit more of the spices in the forefront. Light in flavor and body.

It looks nice, it feels smooth, however it sucks. I do not understand the appeal of this garbage. I drank a few of them at my ex-friend's party and the swill was trash. It tasted so bland I didn't even finish the pack. I left it there. Then I never spoke to my friend again because he was always touting this trash as the greatest ambrosia to touch his lips.

Pours a light yellow-orange with an inch of bright white head. Smell is mild pepper, citrus, and spice. I taste lemon rind, pepper, and coriander. The mouth-feel is snappy and crisp. Very refreshing. A B+ witbier. In the same neighborhood as Hoegaarden and Blanche de Chambly but not as good as Allagash or St. Bernardus. Pairs well with spicy foods, especially Thai or Chinese.

Not the most complex, but also not aspiring to be. Clean, drinkable, and crisp, as a good wit should be. A bit more peppery than the average offering. A summer beer best enjoyed at 45°

Nothing spectacular. Overall, just what to expect from a witbier, don't get me wrong, it's a good and refreshing brew, but nothing stands out above the other witbiers out there. Would I drink again? Yes. But I won't go looking for it. Good, average, maybe above average witbier.

very pale straw color, bright white head hangs around pretty well.
smells of coriander, some orange nougat, decent power and nothing off. a nice nose in a begian wit way.
the coriander is fairly dominant in the flavor, but is not off-putting. now the peppercorns make a subtle appearance–I am picturing the multicolored variety rather than black. fruity, semi-dry finish.
lots of carbonation and a light/med body. the bubbles are a bit bracing.
overall, a nice refresher.

On tap at Reagan (DCA) waiting for my flight to The Cleve.

Look: Pours a nice hazy straw color with one finger foam head, great lacing.

Aroma: Presents a burst or orange peel and lemongrass, coriander and wheat also present.

Taste: Wheat up front paired with a lemon-citrus burst. Slight lemon zest and spice as well.

Feel: Crisp and clean with light carbonation. Very refreshing.

Very lively on pouring and a light fluffy head was retained throughout. Very light appearance as expected and the nose sang of orange and some spicy grass-like aromas. The mouthfeel is weak but the taste is refreshing and sufficiently earthy with some nice funky yeast. No depth to the finish but it is a pleasing beer.

Pours with a light head that settles quickly. Golden dark blonde color. Lightly cloudy. Lots of citrus, very slightly green, noticeable coriander, very fresh, gentle acidity. Only very lightly bitter at the very back and top. Heavy carbonation helps to amp up the refreshing factor even more, but it finishes pretty smooth. Mouthfeel on this is excellent throughout actually. Not quite as round and meaty on the finish as a lot of wheat beers, making it perhaps less wholesome but more crisp. Not astonishingly complex, but delicious as it is.
