A witbier bursting with good karma. Made with dried organic orange slices, fresh-cut lemongrass and a bit of coriander, this Belgian-style white beer is a great thirst quencher.

Wow. I just had a different wit and followed it with this one (it was strategic - I expected this one to be superior) and this one is WAY better.

It's nearly, but not entirely clear, more so that I would expect. The head is thin. The aroma is subtle but a perfect clean yeast aroma. Beautiful smell. Clean.

The taste is a perfect balance and extremely refreshing. Just slightly crisp, and only the least bit tart, this is a great drink.

The aftertaste is similarly clean. I am not sure what the food pairings would be for this but it would go great with food. But if I keep eating there won't be room for beer.

Nice one, Dogfish Head,

A Fan

A- hazy yellow with a thin head that sticks around for a minute or two. Nice lacing against the body. Very much what a wit should be

S- citrus, pepper... it's all there. The lemongrass actually protrudes more than I thought.

T-spicy and fruity, reminiscent of the style. Subtle hints of coriander and lemongrass cleanse the palate. Peppercorns end it with a dance of unami. Very nice.

M- a great amount of carbonation. Light, crisp, refreshing.

O- while it's funny that this was once one of my favorites, I still love this beer. As I sip I await the break of summer... The irony rests in a snowstorm outside my front door.

Yellow and a bit hazy with a very good head that lasted, leaving a nice foamy cap and sticky lace.

Aroma and flavor are spot-on for what I'd expect for a witbier. Actually I didn't even check to see what style it was when I bought it to try, but when I popped the first one it cried out witbier.

Spicy and yeast are obvious, but none of the spices or yeasty flavors dominate too much, giving the beer an excellent balance, especially between citrus and pepper (it would be easy IMO to over-do it on the pepper). Coriander accents perfectly.

Drinkability is both light and easy drinking, and thick-and-chewy, like a good witbier should be. This is another fine brew from DFH.

Looks like a wit. Smells like a wit. Tastes like a wit. Real nice citrus tones showing through with those peppercorns ending up on the backside. Easy to drink. There are some thicker yeast tones with a bready edge on the backside that probably interfere with those characteristics, but the beer overall is pretty nice. This is a very true to style brew. I think it's a very wise idea that they put this in 12 ouncers.

Is light golden/straw in color with a thin white head. Good retention, and a nice lace. Aroma is of tart fruit, and candy. Body is crisp, and carbonated. Taste is of spicy lemon, and sweet tart candy. Fresh, and tart at the finish. Very nice example of this style. Will be a regular this Summer! If Summer ever gets here!
