Was ecstatic to catch this one on tap at the Addison Flying Saucer. Its gotten to the point where I search out and try every Dogfish brew I can.
Pours the usual RIS pitch black with a nice tan head that didn't stick around long. Decent lacing.
Incredible sweet malty aroma one expects from the style but there's something more here. Slight honey aroma. One of those great smelling beers that just draws you in.
I was hooked from the first sip - deep roasted malts and an intruiging mellow sweetness in the after taste. Alcohol content is well hidden making this quite drinkable for 9%. I wanted another immediately.
Another world class offering from Dogfish Head made even cooler by being brewed for the seminal Miles Davis album of the same name.
Serving type: on-tap
