Brown bomber. Label states beer is brewed with honey and gesho. Had to look that one up; gesho is a tree native to Ethiopia and is often used in their form of mead called Tej.
Beer pours a thick dark brown with a light brown head. Light is impenetrable.
On the nose, is deep roasted malts, espresso, a touch of honey, and chocolate.
Medium body with mild carbonation. A light hop bitterness mixes nicely with the deep chocolately roasted malts and honey. Alcohol comes through in the finish. There is an earthy character to the palate that must be from the gesho. This ones sticks to the roof of your mouth.
A strong sipper.
