Appearance: a deep brown bordering on black. a nice finger plus of a nice brown head that leaves a good strong lacing. opaque
Smell: sweet dark chocolate, followed by roasted malts that are somewhat subdued. and some slight herbiness
Taste: opens up with dark chocolate. very good sweetness. very smooth roasted malts. and then a bitterness like nothing i've tasted in a beer. i suspect the gesho. very smooth throughout the whole flavor
Mouthfeel: unbelievable smoothness up front with a distinct and biting bitterness at the end, but does not linger
Overall: an interesting and tasty big stout. i love the smoothness and the flavors and the mouthfeel is hard to beat. a nice tasty treat for a long cold night
Serving type: bottle
