From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. Sampled on July 13, 2013.
The pour is pale yellow to orange with a long-lasting off-white head. No cloudiness and very good clarity.
I enjoy the inviting floral hopped aroma intermixed with pale malts and biscuit. It is not too pungent like a lot of American IPA's can be.
The body is light to medium with a notable creaminess to the texture.
The taste is where the hops take off. I get a wonderful sweetness with the first sip but then it quickly evolves into a piney, floral hop bitterness that ends a tad on the dry side. I can see why this one gets such high ratings. It is exquisite.
