FIrst had the 90-chicory B&T at one of the Dogfishhead Ale Houses in Northern Virginia. Since have had it several other times elsewhere when I have been fortunate enough to be somewhere with both on tap.
This is easily my favorite B&T. The chicory stout gives it a dark, sweet base to mellow the aggressive hops of the 90. It balances very nicely, with a very nice, coat your tongue thickness.

Had the Black & Tan at the Rehoboth Beach brewpub back in 2009, and was amazed at how damn tasty it was. Best Black & Tan that I have ever had, and it seems like the bartenders know that any beer geek/beer expert will love this fresh poured combo since they made the trek to where DogFish Head started. If you can get to any of the Dogfish Head places I highly suggest trying one as it was amazing; the combo (Black & Tan) was perfect and the Chicory Stout brought this to a flavor level that Guinness just can't achieve with any combo of Bass, Smithwick's or Harp. This is a Black & Tan at a Dogfish Head level, so expect greatness and massive flavor.

On draft at the Falls Church Alehouse. This is a combo of 90 min IPA and Chicory Stout...
Pours dark, dark brown with a nice creamy head on top, a orange-ish gold color on bottom. The nose was smoke, malt, hops, fruit, and coffee. The 90 min IPA was in the background, Chicory was the main influence on the nose. Really well done. The taste profile follows the nose, with the Chicory again taking the lead. Really excellent Black and Tan- great for the style. Feel was what you would expect- smooth and malty, followed by crisp, hoppy and well carbonated. Overall, I really enjoyed this- especially considering the style. I would definitely have this again- it's a pretty cool combo. Cheers.
