Bottle. Pours a beautiful hazy orange/bronze color with a nice frothy rocky off white head sitting on top that creeps down the side of the glass as it goes down.
Aroma is citrus and pine hops. Lemons. Smells quite boozy.
Sipping this beer down, The first thing I notice is it's sweetness. Sweet citrusy hops. with quite a bit of piney notes following through for bitterness. It's backed up with some pale or caramel malt. Has a light lemony citrus bitterness towards the end. Not much of a bite as much as it is just a lingering bitterness that is balanced by the sweet malt.. And I will say there isn't much masking the alcohol here.
Oily sticky texture and medium bodied. It's a smooth sipper with quite a bit of alcohol warming up the feeling as you drink. had it on draft before and thought it was unimpressive. More less a lemon-y IPA. Better in the bottle even if the alcohol takes over a bit much of the taste.

Gotta say....love the artwork.
Huge white foam with a nice bright amber/copper colored ale.
Aroma has a lot of malt present with light lemon whiffs in the background. Wishing for more.
Taste was pretty good. I am getting more of the lemon on the swallow with nice hoppiness playing around with the malt.
Good amount of carbonation on each swallow, bit not overly.
Overall I was intrigued by the artwork and my man-love for DFH. Unfortunately I was not totally impressed with this offering. I was hoping for more hops and zest but was met with a bigger dose of malt. The lemons didn't make that much of an appearance to the party either. I did like reading the label though.
