Just came across my notes from the Oregon Brewers Festival:
Pours murky dark brown/red with faint off white head fading quickly to a decent lace.
Nose is in your face mint, berry, and chocolate. Very dark, complex and inviting. Some hints of roasted coffee, spearmint, peppermint, raspberry...
Really odd palate. Not cohesive. It's chocolate covered raspberry meets toothpaste. Really odd. Not pleasant.
Texture is more viscous and soupy than I would have expected. Not very balanced, cumbersome. Finish is pretty long, but it prolongs the toothpaste feel...
This seriously tastes like I just brushed my teeth and ate a chocolate covered raspberry. I enjoyed it for what it was, but I will likely never purchase or go out of my way to try again.
Serving type: on-tap
