A: Pale gold, pretty foggy with definite sediment visible. Fantastic head- creamy, velvety, great retention, good sticky lacing.
S: Crisp apples, spice and pepper heat is lurking back there.
T: All at once I get apple, light pepper spice, some minerality, and general herbaciousness. Works decently well, the mineral/earthy notes muddle it a little. I'm also detecting some baking spices (cinnamon, nutmeg); not sure where they came from, but with the apple they work pretty darn well. Some sweetness present, not as much as other DF offerings, surprisingly.
M: Full bodied, and pretty mouth-drying.
O: A well-crafted beer, each flavor was distinct and pretty clear, although that earthy minerality/chalkiness took away from it somewhat. I'm surprised this one worked, the ingredients are pretty diverse, but somehow melded well. A good novelty tasting.

This pours with a radiant wheat yellow color and a thick foamy head.
The nose is a bit wheat, a little bit of Apple cider, with a spicy tone of chili powder and paprika.
The flavor is strong on the front palate with Apple sweetness. The middle shows substantial wheat grain and I got caramel malts. The spicy cayenne is more a spicy nutmeg or cinnamon and it reminds of some Christmas beers. The great thing is that the complexities of this beer seem to change with each sip.
The feel is light and crisp and disguises the higher ABV.
I enjoyed this beer immensely, it's complex, it's different and it kept me guessing.
