Let me say this is the strongest beer I have ever tasted more so than the Sam Adams triple bock. Bottled on 2/6/09. Poured from a bottle into a snifter. Pours an amberish golden hazy color with white/yellowish awesome frothy heading that leaves rings all the way down the glass. Smell is very citrusy, piney with alot syrup on the backend. Unlike any nose to any other brew. Taste is the same but magnified times 100. It is ridiculously hopped and has a very heavy aftertaste of syrup. Again nothing like I've ever had. My tastebuds are still watering after the first sip. For such a high ABV the alcohol seems to be well hidden therefore making it very drinkable. As most have already said this smells exactly like the 60 minute and 90 minute IPA just highly concentrated.
As I looked into my bottle I seen a bunch of sediment's at the bottom. So I poured some back into the bottle and shook up the rest to collect some of that sediment. When I poured it back into the snifter it looked like a lava lamp and just stayed frozen in the glass.
This beer should take the Stone saying. There is no other beer like this with it being so strong but yet so drinkable.
