12oz bottle shared with my gf. poured into a snifter.
a - pours a hazy amber color with a thin film of off white head. spotty lacing in the glass.
s - toasted bread, grapefruit, pine resin, faint astringency.
t - more of the nose, really. toasted bread malt character with notes of citrus, honey and pine resin. very boozy. in fact, the bitterness seems to come entirely from the alcohol content rather than hops.
m - full bodied, prevalent alcohol burn, finer co2 profile.
o - much better than i was expecting given some of the things i have read/heard. definitely a slow sipper, and i doubt i could do a whole bottle of this by myself. not something i would drink often, but i'm glad i got to try it.
