Full amber with quickly diminishing head. Noticeably thick with hop resin. Smells a little like soy sauce and lemon. Comes across peppery with a dull bitterness upfront before spreading out into soy, heavy caramel, earthy and green hop resinous hops. Turns a little nutty and tartly acidic on the backside ending in very spicy alcohol. Remarkably tame for 21% abv though. Body is immensely viscous, though surprisingly not nearly to the level i expected. Carbonation is low but appropriate. Drinkability is what it is, but very good for 21%, and this is not at all cloying as i'd feared it would be.
Definitely an extreme beer, but a balanced one.
