OK sure I dog these guys for their beers, but I keep having to try their new stuff that isn't crazy over priced. Call me a glutton for punishment if you will. however this one sounds pretty good.
Pours clear, golden, with a slight amber tint. The carbonation is moderate and white, thin.
Grains from a European malt bill, a bit of grassy hops, some lemon grass, and a bit extra sugar and fruit at the end. I get english hops with some american hop notes, perhaps pear juice is bringing out some citrus notes I associate with hops.
The flavor is classic pils with a fruity sweet finish. Still enough hops and grain bill here to balance whatever dogfish added very well. the end result is a very nicely done pils that both brings out the american citrus hops with more classic styles.
Very drinkable on a hot day....sadly this came out at the start of what appears to be a cold winter.
Call me a convert. This isn't great beer, but it sure as hell is very very good beer.

A: Pours a clear gold with a thick, bubbly white head.
S: Aromas of lemon, grass, straw, minerals, biscuits, pear tea, hay, herbs, crackers, and rose water fill the nose.
T: Notes of rose water, pear juice, pear tea, leather, ripe lemon, crackers, biscuits, minerals, straw, hay, honey, herbs, and cream fill the mouth. The finish is dry and smooth with noticeable pear, cracker, biscuit, mineral, and lemon notes.
M: Very smooth and light-to-medium in body for the style. Carbonation is spritzy. Super easy to drink.
O: An awesome experimental pils. It will probably get downgraded a bit for being a Dogfish Head product, but this is a lager not to miss.
