Duchesse de Bourgogne: (Verhaeghe), 6%; Head flavor: nutty, apple/raisin; Appearance: cola/thin coffee, red warmth; Smell: dates/jam/fig; Mouthfeel: effervescent; Taste: cola, date/prun, green apple-y sourness, molasses; good/really good; slightly sweet from the bottle, more bitter (sides of tongue) from glass, mellows as it sits.

Poured into a pint glass.

It's like eating a kobe beef hot dog with mustard and ketchup plus a berry compote on top.

Seriously...this is why I'm a fan of wild yeast. This beer is very unique. Honestly I'm a much bigger fan of this than Rodenbach. Definitely worth a try, or two.

Appearance - dark red cherry color with a off red head and lacing

Smell - rich and tarty for sure. Fermenting fruit smell to it, rich with cherries!

Taste - holy complexity and all over the place. Tart, sweet, sour, sweet. Cherries, delicious cherries

Mouthfeel - lots of carbonation and easy finish

Overall - wow was this a surprise and glad the bar tender referred it after their local beers were out. This beer is great!
