Pours dark red with medium head that disappears quickly with no lacing left on the glass. Smells like tart cherries, beautiful. Bit of vinegar, heavy sour here. Taste is tart cherries., uckering on the palate. Bit of a dry woody oak finish. Crisp mouthfeel with good carbonation. Really enjoyable though a bit pricy.

11.2oz bottle into a tulip. Pours a deep ruby brown w/ a 1-finger head that subsides quickly to a thin film.

Aroma is tart, oaky, fruity. A little on the sweet side.

Taste is likewise equal parts lactic/acidic and sugary sweet. Bing, Rainier, and black cherries plus raspberries. As it warms, the sour and sweet elements converge nicely.

Mouthfeel is a tad prickly from the carbonation, but has an oaky dry quality too.

Overall, this one's a little on the fruity/sugary sweet side; I prefer Rodenbach or Cuvée Des Jacobins Rouge. But, it's been about 3 years since I've had this one so I'm glad I decided to give it another go. Clearly a well crafted beer, just not my personal favorite representation of the style.
