The beer comes in a reddish brown mahoghany with a bit of light coming through, but quite dark with tons of lacing and a white head.

The aroma has some tart berries with cherries and a bit of cranberry. There’s some apple cider vinegar and and also some brown sugar and caramel candy sweetness.

The flavor follows with a bit less tartness than expected. It’s a combination of cherries and cranberries with apple cider vinegar. The middle gives you a bit of tannin of red wine vinegar. Then there’s just a sweetness that calms the entire beer. It’s candy sweet, but not too much. The finish gives you a bit of oak and red wine drying.

There’s tons of carbonation that balances the sweetness and tartness and makes the beer quite creamy.

It’s a really fantastic beer. It does not have huge huge characteristics, but it’s a wonderful beginner sour or for those who like red wine. However, for beer lovers, it still is a really well rounded and delicious drinking beer.

Pours a reddish brown with ruby highlights and a bumpy white crown that lasts all day long.

Cherry smell, sherry and a vinous tartness. Characteristics of leather and woodsy.

Not as sour as I was expecting. A bit unbalanced leaning towards a sweeter side-yet a complex craft. Definite cherry action going on that does finish on tartness. Don't really get any oak barrel.

Mouthfeel is smooth and dry. This does carry a lot of cane sugar with it.

For the price, I guess, my expectations were high. As one could tell I thought this was toot candy sweet. I did find it an enjoyable and like I say, every brew has it's place.

Pours a barely translucent shade of reddish brown, with a soda-like head... Very nice! Fairly high carbonation level. The aroma reminds me of apple cider vinegar, cherries, port wine, a mossy type of earthiness, and rosemary herbs. I love the nice, tart flavor, which contains essences of cranberry, raisin, currants, caramel apples, citrus, funky Belgian yeast, and fresh red grapes. It's nice and light, going down easily. Slightly sticky mouthfeel. It's got a juicy finish, which leaves the drinker wanting more. Overall, this beer is simply exquisite... a fantastic sour that every beer advocate MUST try!

A: Pours a hazy dark red/brown with a bit of white head.

S: Sour with a light touch of funk.

T: Medium sour with a faintest hint of funk. Not too tart to be mouth puckering but not so mildly sour as to wonder where the sour is. Not real heavy on any type of sourness, a nice balance between the different types of sour: lactic, citric, etc.

M: A nice medium body with a good bit of carbonation to balance it out.

O: A perfect well made sour great for an introduction to sour ales as well a great easy access sour for that hot day.
