Brewed for a festival but considered "a keeper," said the Oostvleteren restaurateur serving us. Light-looking, golden with a decent cloud of head. Seemingly no attempt to make the beer smell interesting, but a pleasant sharp funk. Complex flavor, a good bit of herbal hops, grain sweetness. Mouthfeel is quaffable but not watery.

Quite low in the nose. It just feels a little wheat if you force a little smell but no more. The palate follows the perspective of insignificance and provides only light touch-free syrup flavor. Coming for a beer - or calling - the region of Poperinge, famous for the quality of its hops, there was much better to do. There was just a mixture banal as any brewer could achieve.

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle.
The beer pours a light yellow color with a white head. The aroma is tart apples, wheat and some grassy hops. The flavor is grain, wheat, grass and apples. There is a little bit of tartness in the flavor. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Decent, nothing spectacular.

Pours a clear golden color with a crisp white head that fades leaving a small amount of lacing around the glass.
Smell is of hops, some clove and floral notes as well
Taste is leathery, spicy and dry. Anther swig reveals hops, clove, some floral hints. Lemon zest is also present. Finish is very dry and has a lingering aftertaste of faint cigar.
I would say this is a bit better than the other average blondes, that Poperings hops contributing to a better flavor. If this or leffe is on the menu choose this one.

Brown 33cl bottle, best before 29th Oct 2010, drank on a barmy evening 1st july 2009. The front label has a picture of a laughing nunn.
Poured swiftly into a Duvel glass. Large white head sat on top of a golden almost clear body.
Yeasty smell, they have used Poperinge hops, so because I knew they were in there, I could smell them too!
A lttle dry compared to a lot of Belgian Blondes, but pleasant enough. No huge flavours to comment on, a slight earthy, grainy feel to it, but this is just a run of the mill filtered Belgian pale beer in my opinion.
