This refreshing and unique beer is made from a base of pale malt and Munich malt. The unique flavors come from the use of about 25% flaked rye which adds a fresh (some describe it as minty) flavor and smooth texture, as well as about 40 pounds of fresh lemon grass for a fresh citrusy background. This beer is gently hopped with Galena and Hersbrucker hops. (O.G. -12.6P/1052. Hops - 18 IBUs)

Poours an effervescent straw color with a finger of ivory colored head. Average head retention & lacing

S: Lemongrass

T: Lemongrass, light breadyness & slight soapy hoppyness up front. Slight doughy sweetness as this warms, more lemongrass, Finshes slightly sweet with lemons & slight peppery snap

MF: Light bodied, crisp carbonation

Super drinkability, this is beer I chose to take a growler home, I'm sure the +104 heat had plenty to do with that choice! I also thought my draft sample was more flavorful & had more rye punch than this, but not bad

Pours a clear golden color with a one inch bright white head. Good retention and some fine lacing.

Nice aroma. A bit of hops with a good citrus tone. Most likely the lemongrass.

Taste is ok. Slight citrus up front with a big malt finish. My issue is it tastes like a pale pils malt and not like rye malt. It's definitely missing that familiar rye bite that I was so hoping to find.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied and gently carbonated.

Drinkability is moderate. Alcohol is low making the beer easily sessionable, however flavor is boring, just sweet and lacking any rye quality.

This came with a big, foamy, white head. It was a VERY clear lemon-yellow color and my seatmate, a regular, imparted to me that a lot of diatomaceous earth had been expended in producing this one. You talk about The Nebraska Test for clarity – this beer was its poster child. The nose was dominant with the lemony zest of the lemongrass. The mouthfeel was a little thin, but still no reason to downgrade this beer. Let’s call it a soft mouthfeel, instead. The lemongrass was the dominant taste in the mouth, but it was the finish that was especially notable. It had that bite that Sopor put me onto, and for which I will be forever grateful. It was a perfect beer for summer – citrusy, biting, yummy. Go summer! Also, it created some nice, sticky lacing.

For a light beer this is pretty good. Since i like the darker stuff my review may be bias.
A very light yellow/gold color with a nice white head..laced.
Smell of citrus and hops, some floral and malt.
Taste was crisp lemon flavor with undertones of flour and malt. Clean finish, a little bubbly and would be great on a hot Kansas summer day.

Clear blonde hue. Steadfast ivory white creamy head leaves lace. Faint toasted malt and mild cracker, with a hint of rye spice in aroma. Mellow lemongrass and herbal Hersbrucker combination. Tame and clean in aroma. Soft, dryish, pumpernickel like rye and base malt combination. Judicious herbaceous, citric lemongrass undertone. Impression of sweet light cream. Ashen, functional hop bitterness serves to balance residual sweetness, but is unremarkable on its own. Crisp, thinnish, but passably viscous in mouthfeel due to the trace rye protein. Finishes with a hint of toasted lemon squares, but otherwise very clean, dry and thirst inducing. A lightly spiced, soft and well rounded rye. Well above the norm for brewpub examples, but still could use more malt backbone. Excellent drinkability.
