Poured an opaque black with a hint of red, a nice tan head and a decent clingy lace. The head subdued quite quickly, but maintained a fine layer. The aroma was roasted, malty, and of caramel with a background a presence of fruit. The Flavor starts slightly sweet and roasted, but finishes dry and with a lasting bite. The mouth feel is smooth and effervescent, but a little thin, and dry. Admittedly, I am not a huge fan of this style, but I prefer a more dynamic brew that possesses a little more texture and body.
