A - Very deep brown-red hue, fluffy tan head, good clarity, long lasting retention.
S - Light malt with a hint of roast, rather clean with no esters, low noble hop spice in background.
T - Medium malty, sweet munich likeness, light roasty tones, moderate hop, bitterness, spicy noble hop flavors, clean with no unusual flavors for style, dry lingering roasty finish.
M - Smooth, creamy texture, medium carbonation, medium body, not astringent. Fits the style well.
D - Very good, well balanced, with alot of subtle yet complex flavors. I would have liked to find the same complexities in the aroma. Not sure how the brewer could pull that off. Excellent example of the style.

On tap at Wurstküche in Los Angeles.
A: Pours thin and almost black, with a deep ruby tinge, with some light penetration. Presents with a one-finger that head quickly dissipates. Lacing is almost non-existent.
S: There's caramel and malty sweetness on the nose, with a nuttiness in the backdrop.
T: Tastes very much like Malta, a non-fermented, Latin American malt beverage. Very low and bitterness. There's some toffee notes underneath the maltiness.
M: Very light and thin, with very little carbonation. The feel of this beer betrays its dark appearance.
O: Overall, this was very refreshing, light and non-offensive. The extreme maltiness of this was a change of pace. Very unique.
