Off of the main drag in willoughby, just north of Ballantine and 1899 on glenn ave. The menu was mostly burgers as evident by its name. The burger I had was fair, fries seemed stall or the grease used was old.
Beer selection was weak, mostly what I would consider BMC or their european counterparts/ canadian (heineken, stella, molson). GLBC bottles were offered but that is the only ones I would consider craft.
Food and service were ok, really justa whole in the wall/ greasy spoon type of place.

Wanted to check this place out as I was surprised to find that someone had reviewed it here on BA. It is very near other BA places in Willoughby such as 1899 Pub, Ballantines and Willoughby Brewing Company. I left there 35 minutes ago.
The Beer lineup (transcribed from a menu at the table): 13 domestic bottles BMC
22 import bottles
Amstel, Bacardi Silver, Corona, Labatt Blue, Nordic NA, Molson Canadian, Molson XXX, Moosehead, Peroni, Red Stripe, Samuel Adams, Smirnoff Ice, Stella Artois, Warsteiner, Mikes hard lime, Lemondae or Cranberry, Honey Brown, Heinekin and Heinekin Light, GLBC Edmund Fitzgerald, Eliot Ness, Corona, Corona Light.
5 beers on tap
Bass, Killians, Guinness, Dortmunder, Blue Moon. 3.50
Miller Lite, Bud Light $2.50
86.4% BMC Only 5 out of 37 beers could be considered anything else: Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald, Eliot Ness, Dortmunder, Bass, Guinness. Curiously they listed GLBC on the "import" list. I guess it was imported...from 27 miles away.
12 red and black bar stools in front of a lengthy nice looking bar. Nice bold colors everywhere with BMC and GLBC signage. Appreciated the menus have classic "Biere" illustrations.
12 or so tables seating about 50. There is an adjacent "Burger Breakfast Club" area where there were no customers and it seemed like a secondary, overflow area.
Tables a little bit greazy, "kitchen" is just behind bar.
Bottles are presented to the right of the bar above with a light behind them. Kind of cool.
No carbonation in Dr. Pepper that I ordered (no beer, lunch time). That was quickly responded to and I got a Pepsi in its place.
Food. Good and satisfying. Heaping basket of nice shoestring fries (the kind that you put vinegar on) for $2.25 and a half pound burger on a parmesan bread (all sandwiches served on this parm. bread) with lettuce and special sauce for something like $6.49. Really this place delivers on the burgers part of the Burgers & Beer.
This is really a place that is a Burger place with no real attraction for Beer Advocates. I would go to the other three places (within walking distance of this place) if I were in search of interesting beer. Maybe they should consider renaming it, simply: "Burgers"

the vibe of burgers n beer is nothing special. it is kinda plain. as having beer in the name of the restraunt i would think they would have good beer. well.... they dont!! they have your basics and that is it. the tvs were old and would not reccomend watching a game there. i had a burger and it was very greasy, but it was ok.the service was average at best. the bartender was a late 20's guy with a arrogant personality. the price was a basic for a burger, but they get you cause they dont give fries or chips. i will not be going back unless the rest of downtown willoughby burns down....

This place didn't really impress me. I was in downtown Willoughby checking out some other bars and a friend of mine said I should stop by this place and check it out. I didn't see any draft beers there, and their bottle selection was not impressive either. The best they had was a few different Great Lakes Brewing Company brews (which are good beers, but very common around here). I didn't even bother checking the food out. Like one of the other reviewers said, much more of a family type restaurant than a beer bar.

With a name like this you would expect a great atmosphere. But this is much more a family type restaurant then it is a bar. It actaully appears to be more of an old ice cream parlor than anything else. The best they have to offer is Great Lakes Dortmunder- the standard craft brew offered in almost every bar in North East Ohio.
The food is average at best, and the service is just ok. Small joints with names like this should really have a handle on the burgers but they do not have it here. The burgers are no better than big chain burgers like Red Robin or Applebee's.
The atmosphere is just to dull, the food is average, and the beer selection is the same as an any other place.
