12 ounce bottle, has an area on the label for best before dating, but nothing is notched....

Pours quite clear, golden, minimal near white head.

A hint of solvents on the nose.

On the palate its some citric fruit, more light solvent, gin, lime, pepper and some Belgian yeast. I do pick up some ripe fruit (melon) on the tail end. All in all however this one is a bit harsh and brash and just moderately enjoyable. Good try but this one falls quite short of the mark.

Poured into fluted snifter/fat tulip; golden, clear, with a fluffy white head that fades after a bit into nothing but a ring of foam.
Smell is clear malt, sweet candied fruit, slightly vinous, yeasty bitterness.
Taste follows nose to the nose...heh. Clean malt, candy sweetness, light fruit, belgian yeast esters. Spot-on tripel, nothing amazing, but then again belgian beers are about being perfect to-style, not mold-breaking and mind-blowing.
Mouthfeel is smooth, fluffy, and relatively light-bodied.
Overall, a tasty beer that is a great example of the style. My favorite Ithaca beers will always be their IPAs, but this is a good addition to their lineup.

Almost completely filtered Belgian style tripel, bright white head. with a honey golden body just slightly hazed. Intricate Belgian style lacing, the first sniff has cereal grains and hints of malt liquor, this doesn't even have a Belgian yeast presence. A bit of grass/cut hay and earthy qualities, but that's virtually it. The 10% abv reminds me of some very harsh 40 oz high gravity malt liquors out there, a bit of grainy husk character on the palate, cooked veggies, and fusel alcohol harshness. Mouthfeel is almost impossible to get past, each sip is more unpleasant with perfume like qualities that are left on the palate along with the high alcohol making it's presence known. Overall very hard to even compare this to high quality Belgian style tripels, it's in another category way below baseline average of other Belgian tripels.

Pours a golden straw color with a light orange hue. The white head is small and settles into a solid ring. Very light for a tripel.

The aroma is very grainy. I am picking up a big corn and sulfur presence. Very much reminds me of an American macro lager. Nothing from the yeast. Eeeks.

The taste is light and sweet. Slightly grainy and lots sugary. Almost nothing from the yeast and no hop presence. A touch of pepper. Quite bland, which is bad for the style.

The feel is light to moderate with prickly carbonation. Lightly sweet on the palate and quite crisp. A hint of a hop bitterness in the finish and subtle ABV presence.

A big dud for Ithaca. The rest of the Belgian pack was very solid but this just missed its mark. Its too light for a tripel and there is almost nothing from the yeast. For a 10% ABV I expect much much more.

Served on tap at Morris Tap and Grill as part of Ithaca top takeover. Late spring 2014.

Pours very light yellowish. Light white foam on top, straw and malty nose. Chalky bitter taste. :Lemony with the rind. Belgian yeast. Good flavors, but never really popped for me.

Pours a crisp golden color leaving a slight lacing in the glass. I'm guessing its filtered as there's no yeast sediment at the bottom. Smell is faint, but of apples and pears. Taste is of dry grains, pears, and a solid malt sweetness. Finishes with a hint of hops. Mouthfeel is buttery and rich. Has a carbonation bite at the end and little alcohol heat.

Overall--the site states it's at 10% which I can't detect, so that's hidden well. I wouldn't go back to the beer, as none of its characteristics stand out which renders it a bit too simple for me. Perhaps it would be nice as an introduction to the style, but those looking for a good example of a tripel should look elsewhere.

I want to like this. But... the alcohol is in my face and the rest of the flavors just don't round it out. I'm not a fan.

Bottle purchased at Nathaniel Square Corner Store in Rochester, NY.

Pours a hazy golden yellow into the glass, with a very short lived one inch fizzy head. A few small spots of lacing, but nothing significant. Nice visible carbonation.

Smells include Belgian yeast esters, green apple, and sweet grain.

Lots of green apple in the taste. Some cloves, maybe a bit of orange. Not a whole lot of typical Belgian yeast flavor in this one. Finishes quite sweet.

Light bodied, crisp, and well carbonated. No alcohol presence, really.

An easy drinking simple triple. Nothing crazy, but still tasty.

A: The beer is clear bright yellow in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation along with fine particulates floating in suspension. It poured with a quarter finger high bright white head that died down, leaving a small patch of bubbles on the surface, a collar around the edge, and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light aromas of candi sugars and fruity esters are present in the nose.
T: The taste mostly follows the smell and has flavors of apples and candi sugars along with light bits of associated sweetness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a little smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is quite drinkable considering its strength as it manages to hide any traces of alcohol very well from the taste. I felt that the aroma could have been stronger and that the taste could have had some more complexity.
