12 oz. bottle poured into a Sam Adams perfect pint glass.
Appearance: Pours a cloudy brown color with amber highlights and a two-finger beige head.
Smell: When I think brown ale, this is pretty much exactly the aroma I envision - nuts, lightly toasted malts, a hint of caramel. Very nice.
Taste: Similar to the smell, but a little bit toned down. Toasted malts, nuts, caramel malt, just a touch of earthy hops.
Mouthfeel: Medium to light-bodied with a medium-to-high carbonation level for the style. Comes off a tad bit watery.
Overall: This is a style I tend to overlook, so I'm glad I picked this beer up. Very good example of the style, although a little more body would have been ideal.
Serving type: on-tap
