12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass.
Appearance: Handsome looking beer. It's a dark amber hue with a one-inch off-white head. Holding it up to the light reveals some reddishness, and it's clear. It looks like an inviting brown ale.
Aroma: It smells of roasted malt and nuts. The maltiness and nuttiness are equal. It's not super strong on the nose, and alcohol is very faint. It's mild.
Taste: Now this is a tasty beer. The nuttiness is right up front and there's some enjoyable toffee notes. It's very smooth, and very easy to drink. The finish is good. On the whole, it's malty and mild, with a strong nutty character. Pretty great; pairs well with chocolate, and I could see it going well with some roasted vegetables or a burger.
Mouthfeel: Easy drinking. There's nothing off-putting about the experience of drinking this.
Overall: Terrific brown ale. I got this in a mixed six and would get a full six pack for sure. The perfect beer for a chilly autumn or winter night.

Appearance - Dark brown, a hint of red. Appears clear. Virtually no head.
Smell - Moderately strong dark malt aroma. Chocolate, coffee, hazelnut.
Taste - Principally dark malt. Chocolate and hazelnut. Touch of burnt toast. Kind of watery. A little lemony hops in the finish.
Mouthfeel - Medium.
Overall - Not awful, just not a stand out. Tends toward the quaffable.

Enjoyed at Dinosaur BBQ in Syracuse.
This pint arrived at my table with a one finger head still in place. Eventually this broke down and was I left with some swirls of foam and a little lacing.
The smell was brown ale all the way...malts and nuts and coffee.
The taste is like the nose...with malts being at the fore. It is nicely balanced between sweet and bitter.
Mouth feel is medium with medium carbonation.
Overall not a bad pint to be enjoyed with some good BBQ on a Saturday afternoon. It would make an fairly decent session beer on a cool fall afternoon.
