While some other BA reviews of Ithaca's Apricot Wheat fault it on color and appearance, that is perhaps the one area it does not suck at.

While it pours an earth light copper color that is the end of the positivity of this review. The head is non-existent, which is a real shame.

At first he apricot flavor is just too strong, and the beer's wheat flavor and textures are just too weak. Later in the beer the apricot flavor is not as apparent, but the lack of beer flavor is still a glaring part of the experience.

Not recommended. I hope that I don't accidentally buy one of these again. Oh, and this is written by a guy who loves a fruity wheat beer.

A: crystal clear; thin head that dissipated quickly leaving a ring around the edge of the glass; minimal lacing;

S: a nice, fresh apricot scent;

T: follows the nose with a bit of hop bitterness in the mid-palate before the apricot sweetness comes back for the finish;

M: light bodied; light carbonation; dry finish;

O: refreshing and a good thirst quencher; easy to drink; I generally don't like fruit beers, but on a hot day, this was an enjoyable diversion from my usual hop bombs;

Serving type: on-tap
