This is a very decent pale ale anytime your in the mood for one. I had this at the Ithaca Beer Co storefront and had to grab a growler for home. This is a nice pale ale with a nice golden amber color and a fruity-floral aroma. The taste is well balanced even with the hops it does not seem too bitter. I just wish I could get this more readily.

Pours a deep copper hue with a one finger head. Decent retention and good lacing.

There was a sweet malty aroma cut with nice pine and citrus notes.

The flavor was a bit on the malty side for me. However, a nice sharp grapefruit bitterness. Decent hop presence throughout.

The mouthfeel was full. It could have been a bit drier if not for the extra sweetness.

A good drinkable APA. Average for the style.

This one is a dark copper color with a small off white head.

Aroma is almost non existent. Hints of hops exist though.

The flavor is dominated by mild hops but has a bit of malt presence in there as well.

Mouth feel is light bodied and a bit over carbonated.

Other than the carbonation factor, this one is easy going.
It’s alright, but not worth going out of the way to get one.

A: Pours reddish-orange, no head what-so-ever, even after a fairly aggressive pour.
S: Pretty hoppy, well, at least more than I expected. Sweet, piney, floral, citrus fruits.
T: Really sweet, light and citrus fruits. The lack of hops in its taste surprised me as well.
M: Light, smooth, pretty easy to drink.
D: At first I thought this was going to be an impressive Pale Ale, but the more I got into it the more bland it seemed. If there are other choices, drink those.

Overall the beer was good for its value and its very easy to find when I am at college so I decided to try it. It poured a darkish golden color with a little fog and a white head that became some bubbles. It had a mellow smell with some citrus scents. The taste was not overly hoppy, with a mellow mouthfeel. Decent effort, but I will stick to some of the other pales I can find in western NY.

A: Clear coppoer color. Poured a thin 1 finger head that disipated quickly. Laced in broken rings. Decanted continually.

S: Fresh floral hops. Citrus zest.

T: Nice balance of hops and malt. Beer finished pleasantly (slightly) bitter.

M: On the light side of medium body. Ample carbonation. Lingering bitter in the finish (not in a bad way).

D: Solid APA. Tolerable abv. Pleasant balance is important part of this beer.

Poured a hazy bright orange with a big fomay off white head. A real nice slow fade with good retention. A very nice layer of lace and just a super hazy overall look.

Smell was crisp, clean and not overly biting or strong. Lightly linger and waffed through the air. Nice hint of subtle hoppiness and a blend of sugary tones. Not bad, could be stronger. First impresssion was very smooth, but then it kinda fell flat on the tongue, with a dull feel. The finish was nice and hoppy and had some lingering to it, and the overall flavor had a nice balance to it with the malt profile.

Overall this is a very nice session beer

Amber colored with a nice head that fizzles to a thin, patchy lace.
The aroma of fruits, malts and grains.
The taste starts off slightly of fruit, malts and grains in the finish.
Slightly bitter feel with a light body, medium carbonation and a smooth finish and grainy notes.

Notes: Overall I felt this was a bit below average, yet I still felt this was a situational type of beer. You go to some ones place and they want to be cool so they get Ithaca beer. They bought a ton of the stuff and there is a gathering of good friends. You have one and most likely in the bottle and while it may not even taste as good as many craft beers of this style you enjoy it because it does not offend and you are having a good time.
This beer was just boring and that was after pouring it into the glass. Sweet malts and old cereal grains, yet still refreshing.

a decent pale ale, if a bit generic. very citrusy hops with some strong english malts in the nose and the taste. while ithaca makes a lot of awesome hop centered beers, this isnt their finest offering. flower power and cascazilla showcase more of what they are capable of. however, this is a very sessionable and refreshing pale ale with a lighter mouthfeel and bright carbonation. i actually enjoyed it quite well with gingerbread men this holiday season, although this feels more like a spring drink to me, big enough for the cold nights but refreshing enough to drink outside with the first warm sunny days. good local product.

Presentation: 12oz amber bottle. No freshness dating.

Appearance: Poured a clear, rather pale golden color. Creamy head gave way to just a slight ring around the top of the beer. Minimal lacing.

Smell: Good nose of pine and citrus.

Taste: Smell translates nicely into the taste. Good dose of hoppy bitterness up front that unfortunately falls a little flat on the tail end (especially as the beer warmed). There is a low amount of malty sweetness that is noticed. Flavor becomes almost grain-like at the finish.

Mouthfeel: Fizzy on the palate. Fairly dry finish.

Drinkability: Cold. That's the key word. Don't let this one warm up too much or you'll swear it's a macro you are drinking. A little above average but I'll look for something better.
