a decent pale ale, if a bit generic. very citrusy hops with some strong english malts in the nose and the taste. while ithaca makes a lot of awesome hop centered beers, this isnt their finest offering. flower power and cascazilla showcase more of what they are capable of. however, this is a very sessionable and refreshing pale ale with a lighter mouthfeel and bright carbonation. i actually enjoyed it quite well with gingerbread men this holiday season, although this feels more like a spring drink to me, big enough for the cold nights but refreshing enough to drink outside with the first warm sunny days. good local product.

12oz Bottle

Appearance - Clear amber/light copper colour with an average size fizzy off-white coloured head. There is a high amount of carbonation showing and there is some good lacing. The head lasted for 5 minutes before it was gone.

Smell - Malts, caramel, hops, grapefruit

Taste & Mouth - There is an average amount of carbonation and I can taste malts, caramel and some hops. There is also a grapefruit flavour and just a touch of apricot. It ends with a grapefruit and malty sweet aftertaste with a surprsing amount of lingering hop bitterness for an APA.

Overall - An above average APA that is very drinkable and satisfying. It's not going to blow you away like their Flower Power, but it's a little higher on the drinkability scale. I'd say it's worth trying.

Pours a hazy dark orange with a wispy white head. Spotty lacing down the glass.

A little floral and citrus aroma. Not much here.

I'd like to point out multiple flavors. This one is kind of lacking though. Starts out with a bit of a spicy hop presence. Very little malt. Finishes with a good piney resin that lingers a bit, but until the aftertaste there's not much here.

Mouthfeel and carb are good for style.

Nothing terribly wrong here, but could use a bit more. The biggest thing it accomplished was making me wish I had more Flower Power.
