12 oz bottle from trade - I'm excited to try this!
A - Pours a cloudy yellow with maybe a bit of orange. Surprising color for what the bottle calls a "red ale". A big frothy 3 finger head at first, with lots of lacing.
S - Fairly subdued, especially compared to the bitterness in the taste, but a nice floral hop presence makes itself known.
T&M - Very thin body, which isn't necessarily a negative, but it is the first thing that I notice. The bright, tea-like hops work well with this mouthfeel and make it very drinkable. Perhaps a bit more lingering bitterness would round this out, but it's very nice. As I continue to drink, I'm changing my mind - this is a bit too flat for me.
D - Decent, and a unique "red ale". Likeable, but nothing amazing. I'm glad to have tried it once.
