Just found some old notes from Teresa's Next Door from back in the day, this time with Bourbon Ten!!
Bourbon ten looks tennish with a fairly bold raspy orange with some tangerine highlights. A pretty sturdy cap on top and small bits of lacing. Smell is alot of bourbon in a hot kinda way, yet not overly so. Under that the malt richness of regular ten with citrus and sweet malt backing. Caramel, booze and fruit. Taste is pretty bold. A nice mix of bourbon spirit with hot texture with caramel sweetness, tangeriner and some small pine cones. Some residual sugars as well. Bourbon is noted, it's quite big, the barrel's took well. Feel is kinda gooey and above medium with some carb felt, not overly stingy though. Coating in a way. Could not drink a ton of this stuff, as it is now, heat is a factor, but im sure i'll see this on draft in the future. Ten is hoppy as it is, that's not lost in this version. A great beer.

Picked up a growler of this on tap at the Pony Bar in Midtown during NYC craft beer week.
The growler took a good twenty minutes to pour--the head brewer was there while I was waiting, he said had charged it with some CO2 earlier that day, so it was pouring a massive head. But by the time I got it home it was completely settled, mouthfeel was like a cask ale. Like the reviewer before me said, it looks like iced tea--reddish brown, opaque.
Tastes great--the whiskey barrel flavor is really intense, maybe too much for some, but I'm a fan. Well-hopped, but the whiskey and cherry and brown sugar flavors dominate.
Though the head brewer warned me that it was "a bit much", I really love it. Given the ABV I very much doubt that my boyfriend and I will get through the growler tonight, but very glad I got it.

On tap at Teresa's Next Door.
A-Pours a cloudy, hazy iced tea brown with a thin tan head and a bit of lacing. Odd to look at but intriguing.
S-A very appealing aroma of brown sugar, sweet malt, vanilla and bourbon.
T-Delicious. Malty sweet with notes of raisin, brown sugar and vanilla. A pleasing alcohol warmth in the finish.
M-Medium bodied, creamy, a rich texture.
D-Very drinkable for the ABV and bourbon character.
