12 oz bottle poured into a Sierra Nevada imperial pint.
Best before O notched on the label, no info.
A - Flower Power is a hazy golden yellow color that's topped by a well-retained ivory head of foam. As the bubbles pop, sticky webbing remains clutching the pint like gnarled fingers.
S - Immediately, spicy, floral hops punch out with force and are followed by lemon citrus and mild pine resin hints. Juicy pineapple and faint grapefruit add fruity undertones while the subtle pale malt base allows the hops to shine while giving good balance.
T - Biting in flavor, the floral, citrusy hops retain the explosive punch they have in the aroma, bombarding the tongue with pine, herbal spiciness, and a fruity finish akin to the beer's smell. A touch of caramel sweetness trails off with the pale malt on the finish.
M - The aroma's pine resin suggests biting bitterness, but it's not quite as strong as one might anticipate. Earthy dryness and a hoppy dry finish balance the medium-light body with just a touch of citrusy tartness on the finish.
O - Ithica's Flower Power IPA does a great job at showcasing a variety of different hop characteristics all while remaining cohesive and drinkable. Spice, herbal notes, floral notes like the name would suggest, and fruity undertones come together masterfully. A great IPA to be sure!

this is a 1st class IPA..high quality beer for sure..its not the strongest IPA out there which is a good thing..a drinking beer..the strength of taste and its a little fuzzy at the end...otherwise it would have a 5.0..we truley live in a wonder time when a beer like this is not perfect..back in the early 80's Bass,Sierra and the Sam Adams were the best we could do..which they are still good, save for the fact Bass is not from England anymore
